SCRIBBLING EXPLORERS

We haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on our list.

Chaotic Catwalking

You know when you live somewhere you never do all the tourist attractions that are on your doorstep? Well we kind of fell into this mentality when we was in Banff. Right next to our campsite their was several viewing areas of Mt Rundle that we kept driving straight past thinking, this is close to the campsite, we will do it later. Anyway, realising this we made an effort and did them today. You ha [...]

Moraine Lake VS Lake Louise

We found our favourite ‘primal’ breakfast this morning, full fat greek yoghurt with blueberries, trail mix and honey mixed in. Mmmm it was delicious. Tonight is our first night camping in Banff Village so before leaving the Lake Louise area we set off for Moraine Lake, a few of my family members in Toronto said not to miss this lake and it’s actually rated higher on Tripadviser than Lake Louise so [...]

Gazing at the Glaciers

By far one of the most scenic hikes in the Canadian Rockies, the Plain of Six Glaciers trail offers expansive views of the impressive mountain features that surround Lake Louise, including Mt. What a view

It’s day 3 on our primal diet so it began with yet another omelette, it’s amazing how quickly they get boring. Despite getting up at 8am it took us until around 11am before we made it to Lake Louise. Before doing so we popped into the visitor centre to see what was worth doing locally. There’s quite a few hikes but the lady at the desk drew a big square on our map and said we couldn’t do anything [...]

Road Trip to Lake Louise

Hayley did her best to wake me up at 6:30 to watch the Arsenal game but I was having none of it and slept through the whole thing. We had to make it back to the airport to collect the rental car and knew we would probably take the bus. Good job we did as it only ended up costing us $3.15, what a bargain and it dropped us off right outside the car hire booth. Now, the car situation is complicated, [...]
